Tax Manager

Positions Overview :

The Manager - Tax will be responsible for managing both direct and indirect taxation for the organization, ensuring full compliance with tax laws, optimizing tax planning strategies, and handling audits and assessments. This role will oversee Income Tax, GST, Transfer Pricing, TDS, and other statutory tax requirements while mitigating tax risks and ensuring smooth business operations.

Key Responsibilities :

Direct Taxation

Ensure timely and accurate filing of Income Tax returns and TDS compliance.

Oversee corporate tax planning and implement strategies to optimize tax liabilities.

Handle tax audits, assessments, and litigation matters with income tax authorities.

Ensure compliance with Transfer Pricing regulations, including documentation and reporting.

Provide advisory on international tax matters and cross-border transactions.

Indirect Taxation (GST & Other Levies)

Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST returns, reconciliations, and audits.

Provide guidance on GST applicability, input tax credits, and compliance across business transactions.

Handle GST audits, assessments, and dispute resolution with tax authorities.

Stay updated on GST law amendments and implement necessary business process changes.

Assist in customs duty, excise, and any other indirect tax-related matters applicable to the business.

Tax Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure adherence to all direct and indirect tax regulations to avoid penalties and litigation.

Monitor tax law changes and proactively update management on implications and required actions.

Coordinate with internal teams, auditors, and external tax advisors for smooth tax operations.

Implement and improve internal tax processes and controls to ensure efficiency and compliance.

Tax Strategy & Reporting

Develop and execute tax-efficient structures and transaction models to optimize costs.

Prepare tax reports, forecasts, and impact assessments for senior management.

Support business expansion initiatives with tax structuring and advisory.

Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate tax accounting and reporting.

Qualifications & Skills :

Education : CA (Chartered Accountant) or equivalent qualification.

Experience : 6-8 years of experience managing both direct and indirect taxation in a corporate setup .

Expereince with listed organization is a must .

Expertise : Strong knowledge of Income Tax, TDS, GST, Transfer Pricing, and International Taxation.

Regulatory Knowledge : Familiarity with Indian tax laws, litigation processes, and compliance frameworks.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills : Ability to handle complex tax matters and provide strategic tax solutions.

Communication & Leadership : Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience in handling tax authorities and external consultants.
