DC Engineer Specialist

Job descriptionManageand maintain Zerto solutions for cloud-based disaster recovery, ensuring highavailability and data protection across multi-cloud environments. Configureand oversee disaster recovery plans, conduct regular testing, and troubleshootrecovery processes. Developand enforce backup policies, retention strategies, and disaster recovery plansaligned with business continuity objectives. Collaboratewith stakeholders to define RPO (Recovery Point Objective) and RTO (RecoveryTime Objective) for critical applications and data. Monitorbackup performance using appropriate tools, conduct capacity planning, andimplement optimizations to enhance backup efficiency and reliability. Utilizebackup performance metrics to identify and address issues impacting backupoperations. Serveas an escalation point for Level 3 support, analyzing and resolving complexbackup-related issues, incidents, and recovery failures. Conductroot cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and develop strategies toprevent recurring backup problems. Maintaincomprehensive documentation, technical guides, and standard operatingprocedures (SOPs) for backup configurations and processes. Collaboratewith cross-functional teams, providing technical guidance, mentorship, andexpertise to ensure effective backup operations. Bachelor’sdegree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (orequivalent experience). Extensiveexperience (X+ years) in backup administration, specializing in Cohesity andcloud-based disaster recovery solutions like Zerto. In-depthknowledge of backup and recovery principles, data protection strategies, anddisaster recovery planning. Proficiencyin configuring and optimizing Cohesity backup infrastructure and Zerto forcloud-based disaster recovery. Strongunderstanding of backup performance tuning, capacity planning, and datamanagement best practices. Excellentproblem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills. Strongcommunication, leadership, and collaboration abilities. CohesityCertified Administrator (CCA) or equivalent Cohesity certifications ZertoCertified Professional (ZCP) or equivalent Zerto certifications

The Level 3Backup Administrator with expertise in Cohesity and Zerto (cloud-based) backupsolutions is a senior-level position responsible for overseeing, managing, andoptimizing data protection and disaster recovery strategies. This role involvesproviding expert-level technical support, implementing advanced configurations,and ensuring the availability, integrity, and security of backup and recoverysystems.
