Role Description
This role is responsible for managing end-to-end marketplace business including cataloging, inventory, pricing, promotions, advertising, and growth strategy. You will work closely with the founder and internal teams to ensure strong sales performance, brand visibility, and operational excellence on all platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra and Q.com.
Marketplace Operations
Manage daily operations on Amazon, Flipkart, Jiomart and other platforms.
Coordinate order processing, dispatch, inventory updates, and warehouse communication.
Handle FBA / Smart Fulfilment shipments, inbounding and stock availability.
Maintain account health metrics and resolve operational issues quickly.
2.Listing, Catalog & Content Management
Create and update product listings with strong, keyword-optimised content.
Manage variations, categories, images, A+ content and storefront updates.
Regularly review and improve listing quality to increase visibility and conversions.
3.Inventory Planning & Stock Management
Track stock levels across all marketplaces and prevent stockouts.
Forecast demand and plan replenishments based on sales trends and upcoming events.
Coordinate with warehouse for timely dispatches and stock reconciliation.
4. Pricing, Promotions & Growth Initiatives
Manage pricing, discounts, coupons, and promotional participation.
Plan for major sale events and ensure competitive positioning.
Monitor competitor activity and identify opportunities for new bundles, SKUs or improvements.
5.Advertising & Performance Marketing
Run and optimise campaigns on Amazon Ads and marketplace ad tools.
Track ACOS, ROAS, keyword performance and improve overall ad efficiency.
Plan event-based advertising strategies for peak sale periods.
6.Analytics & Reporting
Track daily / weekly sales, traffic, conversions and ad performance.
Share structured reports with insights and actionable recommendations.
Monitor product performance vs competitors and category benchmarks.
7.Returns, Reviews & Customer Feedback
Analyse return reasons and work on reducing avoidable returns.
Manage SAFE-T / claim processes on marketplaces.
Monitor customer reviews and ensure product or listing issues are addressed.
8.Coordination & Process Improvement
Work with design, content, operations and product teams to improve marketplace performance.
Build better processes for cataloging, ads management, and inventory flow.
Stay updated with marketplace policies, tools, and growth opportunities.
Required Skills
Proven experience managing marketplace business
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets, keyword tools, and ad dashboards.
Working knowledge of Shopify, Flipkart Seller Hub, and Shiprocket.
Comfortable with data-driven decision-making and campaign experimentation.
Understanding of e-commerce logistics, pricing strategy, and product lifecycle management.
