Role Overview

Lead the maintenance department to ensure efficient plant operations.

Develop maintenance strategies and manage budgets.

Minimize downtime and maintain equipment and facility standards.

Drive continuous improvement through data analysis and technology adoption.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and manage contractors.

Requires strong technical expertise and leadership experience in manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement maintenance strategies, schedules, and programs.

Lead and mentor the maintenance team, ensuring task efficiency and skill development.

Manage departmental budgets and monitor expenditures.

Oversee maintenance and repair of plant machinery, equipment, and facilities.

Plan and execute maintenance-related projects (e.g., shutdowns, installations).

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.

Coordinate with external contractors and OEMs for specialized services.

Analyze maintenance data to identify improvement areas and reduce downtime.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

12–15 years of experience in the heavy manufacturing industry, with managerial exposure.

Strong knowledge of equipment used in chemical and plastics plants.

Familiarity with utilities like boilers, chillers, compressors, and electrical systems.

Experience with PLC, SCADA , and drives is a plus.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Knowledge of Integrated Management Systems (IMS) and standards like ISO 9001, ISO 14001 .
