Job Title : Linux Admin

Experience Required : 3-5 years

Location : Chennai

1. Install, Configure, Manage, Support, and Maintain Linux installed systems

2. Ensure security hardening of Linux systems

3. Ensure security of systems and data

4. Manage system backups, restore, and recovery

5. Manage user accounts, groups, and services

6. Manage and maintain storage provisioned for Linux systems

7. Work with users to resolve account / system issues

8. Provide support on all Linux applications and UNIX based applications

9. Provide support to users on basic and advanced server related tasks

10. Assist with Linux server administration tasks

11. Perform other related duties as assigned.

12. Help troubleshoot problems with Linux servers, running various versions of Linux, including Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian, and SuSE

13. Engage in continuous testing of new Linux versions and applications on an on-demand basis

14. Perform change control

15. Assist with user management, such as creating accounts for new hires and training seasoned professionals on company policies

16. Help automate server maintenance, patching including running scripts and automated processes

17. Maintain server uptime and network performance

18. Assist with server documentation

19. Maintain server security

20. Ensure all administrative procedures are followed

21. Document all server incidents and outages

22. Level 3 troubleshooting support for Linux Operating system
