Package Responsible Engineer (PRE)

Position : Package Responsible Engineer (PRE) for Rotary / Static Equipment

Education : Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical engineering or related field.

Experience : 12-15 years

Tools / Software's : Aveva Engineering , MS Office, IFS

Location : Stavanger, Norway (Onsite)

Industries : Oil and Gas, Chemical Plants

Positions : 1 Nos.

Joining : Immediate to 30-day joiners are preferred.

Responsibility

The skilled and proactive Package Responsible Engineer (PRE) for Rotary / Static Equipment . In this role, engineer will be responsible for the complete technical follow-up of equipment packages—from specification and procurement to manufacturing, testing, delivery, and final handover . This includes acting as the main technical liaison between suppliers, engineering disciplines, procurement, and the client. The role demands strong coordination skills, a solid technical background, and the ability to manage risks and interfaces across all phases of project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the technical lead for rotary / static equipment packages such as compressors, pumps, turbines, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and other mechanical / static items
• Prepare and review technical documentation, including specifications, datasheets, and procurement packages.
• Technical evaluations and procurement support in bidding & supplier selection.
• Ensure supplier deliverables comply with applicable codes, project specifications, and client requirements.
• Follow up on supplier progress, documentation, quality control, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
• Coordinate interfaces with other engineering disciplines and project stakeholders.

Participate in technical clarification meetings, design reviews, and risk assessments.

Maintain thorough documentation and regularly update progress reporting systems
