Role Description

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with MERN stack expertise and strong DSA skills to design, develop, and maintain multi-tenant microservices platforms , ensuring scalability, reliability, and optimal performance . This is a full-time ,on-site role for a Senior Backend Engineer at Transond Systems, located in Coimbatore.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for multi-tenant platforms.
  • Build microservices applying cloud-native architecture principles and industry best practices .
  • Implement RESTful APIs, GraphQL endpoints , and integrations with external systems.
  • Collaborate with frontend, data, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless system integration .
  • Apply security, multi-tenant data isolation, and performance optimization practices.
  • Optimize backend performance with Redis or other caching frameworks , database queries, and efficient data handling.
  • Architect transactional vs analytical data segregation to support multi-tenant workloads.
  • Apply advanced DSA expertise for algorithmically efficient solutions , data structures, and system-level optimizations.
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and mentoring junior engineers.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5–8 years of backend development experience, preferably in MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js).
  • Strong familiarity with microservices architecture principles and ability to put them into practice .
  • High expertise in Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA) for scalable and high-performance systems.
  • Experience with Redis or other caching frameworks for performance optimization.
  • Proven ability to segregate transactional and analytical data in multi-tenant environments.
  • Hands-on experience with API design, messaging queues, event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, MQTT).
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Solid understanding of CI / CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices .
  • Expertise in database design, optimization, and scaling (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or similar).
  • Experience with security best practices : authentication, authorization, and data isolation.

  • Exposure to real-time IoT or telemetry systems .
  • Experience with GraphQL, Redis advanced patterns, or caching frameworks .
  • Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and serverless architectures.
  • Knowledge of event sourcing and CQRS patterns .
