Senior Test Engineer

Job Description

We are building a modern, scalable web platform using a headless CMS architecture powered by Drupal (backend) and Next.js (frontend). The application prioritizes high performance, accessibility, and seamless integration across components. We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer to drive quality across the platform through meticulous testing and process excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the QA process for the web platform across frontend (Next.js) and backend (Drupal APIs)
• Develop comprehensive test documentation including detailed test plans, test cases, and test data for functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing
• Execute manual testing for web UI and APIs, logging clear, reproducible issues with detailed steps and environment information
• Perform cross-browser and device compatibility testing to ensure responsiveness, accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA), and consistent user experience
• Validate GraphQL / REST API responses using tools like Postman or Insomnia, including schema validation and error handling
• Test API integrations between Next.js frontend and Drupal backend, verifying data flow and content management workflows
• Collaborate effectively with developers, designers, and product owners to understand requirements, user stories, and edge cases
• Participate actively in agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint demos
• Work closely with development teams to reproduce bugs, support debugging efforts, and champion quality-first development practices
• Provide QA input during requirement analysis and design phases to identify potential quality risks early 1
