Education -Bachelors / Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field
Job Descriptions :
- This position is responsible for creation of CAD geometry, CAD Proposals and Drawings / 3D annotations. You will have responsibility for :
- Design and development of Cooing System and its Component, AC Lines & Hoses, Cooling Circuit layout
- Ensure data is up to date and reflects the required levels of maturity at any given point in time
- Provide CAD support, leading and progressing the design in line with the program timescales and deliverable cadence
- Ability to check and manage clearance to interface parts.
- Ensure manufacturing feasibility of parts.
- Ensuring issues that cannot be resolved are escalated to Lead Engineer / Scrum team
- Ensuring that the all project deliverables are met on-time
- Ensure all packaging feasibility for Component
- Identifying all risks to the programme
- Extensive experience in using CATIA V5 & TCe
- Good all round design skills which must include past experience of working on at least one of Cooling Systems
- Successful history of delivery within the automotive sector.
- Engineering knowledge of defined component(s) / system(s) design, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirements.
- Excellent communications skills, demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels,
Skills requirement :
Good understanding of system level as well as component level working.Knowledge of cooling system and component design requirement for AC lines, HVAC, Condenser, Chiller, Mounts and brackets.Knowledge of material selection for different components.Ability to create parametric models using CATIA V5 and V6.Working with parametric design and methodology.Working knowledge of PLM systems (Team Centre)Ability to benchmark and provide innovative approach for a problem.Ability to interact with cross functional teams like CAE / VI Lead teams, interpret CAE results and suggest corrective actions.Good understanding on GD&T and tolerance stack up analysis.Good understanding of manufacturing process – Plastic moulding methods, Casting & sheet metalShould be a good team member.Strong communication skills.
