About the Role :

Appstek is seeking a Senior QA Engineer with strong expertise in Python-based automation, Pytest frameworks, CI / CD pipelines, and Azure DevOps. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing robust automation solutions, integrating quality checks into delivery pipelines, and ensuring high reliability across releases.

Key Responsibilities :

Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Python and Pytest.

Implement continuous testing practices within CI / CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.

Execute functional, regression, and integration tests for web and API applications.

Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to drive test automation adoption.

Review requirements, define test strategies, and prepare detailed test plans and reports.

Analyze test failures, perform root cause analysis, and drive defect resolution.

Mentor junior QA engineers on automation best practices and quality standards.

Required Skills & Experience :

6–10 years of hands-on experience in software testing and automation.

Strong programming skills in Python and experience with Pytest or similar frameworks.

Expertise in Azure DevOps for CI / CD, build pipelines, and automated test execution.

Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile / Scrum, and DevOps-based QA workflows.

Experience in API testing using Postman or REST-assured.

Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
