Job Summary : -

We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Administrator with a strong background in Oracle Database administration and SQL performance tuning . The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance optimization of SAP systems running on Oracle databases, ensuring high availability, reliability, and security across environments.

Key Responsibilities : -

SAP Basis Administration

  • Install, configure, and upgrade SAP systems (ECC, S / 4HANA, BW, PI / PO, Solution Manager, etc.).
  • Perform system copies, client copies, system refreshes, and transports.
  • Manage SAP landscape across Development, QA, and Production environments.
  • Apply SAP Notes, Support Packages, Kernel upgrades, and patches.
  • Monitor and tune system performance (work processes, memory, I / O).
  • Manage user administration and security (roles, authorizations).
  • Plan and execute backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies.

Oracle Database Administration

  • Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle databases for SAP systems.
  • Monitor and optimize database performance (SQL tuning, AWR reports, indexes).
  • Manage Oracle backups using RMAN and ensure database recovery readiness.
  • Implement and maintain database security, patches, and upgrades.
  • Troubleshoot database-related issues impacting SAP application performance.

    • SQL and Performance Tuning

  • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for reporting and troubleshooting.
  • Identify and resolve long-running SQL statements and database bottlenecks.
  • Work with developers and functional teams to optimize SQL-intensive operations.

    • System Monitoring & Automation

  • Use tools such as SAP Solution Manager, CCMS, DB13, and BR
  • Tools.
  • Automate routine monitoring and maintenance tasks (scripting in Shell / PowerShell).

    • Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in SAP Basis Administration .
  • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database (10g / 11g / 12c / 19c) .
  • Solid knowledge of SQL scripting and performance tuning.
  • Experience with SAP HANA is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Linux / Unix and Windows operating systems.
  • Good understanding of networking, storage, and backup solutions .
  • Experience with SAP landscape migrations and system copies .
