Job Title : Cybersecurity Lead India
Primary Function :
Lead the implementation and ongoing management of enterprise cybersecurity programs in India, ensuring alignment with Abbotts global cybersecurity strategy and compliance with local regulations. Act as the primary cybersecurity liaison for India operations, collaborating closely with Enterprise Cyber Security, IT functions, local IT teams, and business partners.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Leadership :
- Align Indias cybersecurity posture with the global enterprise strategy.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all cybersecurity matters in India.
- Lead cybersecurity integration during mergers, acquisitions, and onboarding of new business units.
- Represent Abbotts cybersecurity position in approved external industry forums.
Governance & Compliance :
Ensure compliance with Indian cybersecurity regulations and local requirements.Liaise with CERT-In for incident reporting, regulatory coordination, and compliance.Oversee implementation of cybersecurity certifications and local regulatory directives.Stay updated on evolving Indian cyber laws and propose policy updates as needed.Risk Management :
Conduct regular cyber risk assessments tailored to Indias threat landscape.Report the organizations risk posture to enterprise and local leadership.Oversee implementation of controls to mitigate identified risks.Incident Response (IR) :
Act as the in-country cybersecurity incident liaison.Coordinate response activities in collaboration with the global Cyber Incident Response Team and local authorities (e.g., CERT-In).Education & Awareness :
Develop and deliver localized cybersecurity training programs to improve the cyber resilience of employees and contractors.Collaborate with global teams to tailor training content specifically for Indian audiences.Management & Operational Leadership :
Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to in-country cybersecurity staff.Mentor and develop cybersecurity staff to support effective delivery of global cybersecurity services.Education & Experience Required :
Bachelors degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related technical field; or equivalent practical experience.Minimum of 12 years of hands-on experience in areas such as threat and vulnerability management, web application security, penetration testing, or cyber threat intelligence.Experience working in large, matrixed organizations (experience with Abbott is a plus).At least 3 years experience with vulnerability scanning tools such as Nucleus, Qualys, or similar.Relevant cybersecurity certifications (CISSP preferred).(ref : hirist.tech)
