Role Overview

At Scimplify , we are building the future of chemicals by integrating manufacturing, innovation, and supply chain under one roof . We are looking for a Head of Supply Chain (Imports & Exports) to lead our global logistics and trade operations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end supply chain strategy with a focus on imports, exports, and international logistics.
Manage global trade operations, including customs clearance, documentation, and regulatory compliance (DGFT, EXIM, GST, FEMA, etc.).
Optimize import / export processes to reduce lead times, improve cost efficiency, and ensure timely delivery.
Develop and maintain relationships with freight forwarders, customs agents, logistics providers, and regulatory bodies.
Oversee demand planning, inventory management, and distribution strategies to support business objectives.
Drive supplier negotiations and contracts to secure competitive freight rates and optimize working capital.
Collaborate with finance, legal, and operations teams to align trade policies with organizational goals.
Ensure compliance with international trade laws and country-specific regulations.
Implement digital tools and automation to enhance visibility and control over supply chain processes.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team.

Desired Candidate Profile

10–15 years of experience in global supply chain, imports, and exports (Chemicals industry preferred).

Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, EXIM policies, and customs compliance.

Proven ability to negotiate contracts and manage global vendor relationships.

Experience in scaling supply chain operations for growth-stage companies / startups is an advantage.

Excellent leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
