Position Overview :
We are seeking an experienced DDI / Network Engineer with deep expertise in DNS, DHCP, IP Address Management (IPAM), and advanced network administration (Routing & Switching). The ideal candidate will be responsible for the centralization, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of core DDI services (Efficient IP or similar) integrated with Windows Active Directory and enterprise networking infrastructure.
You will play a key role in maintaining high availability, scalability, and security of critical network services, collaborating with cross-functional teams, vendors, and customers, while ensuring compliance with operational and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities :
DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) Management :
- Design, configure, implement, and maintain EfficientIP (or equivalent) DNS, DHCP, and IPAM solutions for enterprise-scale environments.
- Integrate DDI solutions with Windows Active Directory for dynamic DNS (DDNS) registration and name resolution management.
- Create and manage Primary Zones, Forward Zones, Reverse Lookup Zones, and DNS Forwarders.
- Perform centralization of DHCP services with optimized failover and redundancy configurations.
- Upgrade, patch, and secure DDI infrastructure to meet business and compliance requirements.
- Monitor and troubleshoot DDI service health, latency, and query resolution performance.
Network Administration :
Administer and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, and Wireless environments with a focus on enterprise-grade Cisco Routing & Switching solutions.Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for major incidents and document detailed findings for continual improvement.Analyze network traffic trends, syslogs, and SNMP data for capacity planning and proactive fault resolution.Troubleshoot L2 / L3 issues including VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, HSRP, VRRP, ACLs, and QoS.Manage network security configurations (ACLs, firewalls, segmentation) to ensure compliance with organizational policies.Operational Support :
Provide L2 / L3 technical support for incoming incidents and service requests via ticketing systems.Work with TAC and vendor support to resolve escalated issues.Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.Review and enforce operational standards and change management procedures.Required Qualifications & Skills :
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.Certifications Preferred : CCNA, CCNP, ITIL Service Management.Core Technical Expertise :
EfficientIP DDI, Infoblox or similar platforms.DNS, DHCP, IPAM management in enterprise environments.Cisco Routing & Switching (Catalyst, Nexus platforms preferred).VLANs, Routing Protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), Layer 2 / 3 Troubleshooting.Network security principles and practices.Tools & Protocols : TCP / IP, SNMP, Syslog, Wireshark, IPAM APIs.Soft Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, excellent written and verbal communication, customer-oriented approach.Experience working in high-availability, 247 mission-critical environments.Desirable Skills :
Advanced Efficient IP DDI configuration and automation via APIs.Scripting for network automation (Python, Ansible).Hands-on with wireless networking and enterprise Wi-Fi controllers.Experience with network security integration for DNS filtering and DHCP fingerprinting.(ref : hirist.tech)
