We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Sampling Analyst to support our data-driven initiatives by managing survey sample design, data integrity, and cross-functional collaboration. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of survey data used to inform strategic decisions across the organization. The analyst will also serve as a dependable partner to the Strategic Insights (SI) team, ensuring timely and accurate procurement and delivery of sample files across multiple lines of business (LOBs).
Primary Responsibilities :
- Sample Procurement & DeliveryPartner with the Strategic Insights team members to procure (order and deliver) sample files based on business needsNavigate various platforms, databases, and team workflows to fulfill sample requests across Commercial and Government Program LOBsEscalate to U.S.-based team members, when necessary, particularly in cases involving CMS regulations that restrict offshoring of member sample data
- Survey Sampling & Data ManagementCollaborate with stakeholders to define and document data extract and reporting requirementsDesign and implement QA processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrityConduct root cause analyses for data and reporting issues and recommend corrective actionsServe as a liaison between technical teams, insights teams, and survey vendors to coordinate ongoing and upcoming survey needsIdentify and implement opportunities to streamline sampling and data management processesManage 10-12 monthly and 8-10 yearly sample procurements for recurring and adhoc needs

Required Qualifications :
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experienceExperience with requirements gathering and documentationProven experience in sample and data management, preferably in a survey or research contextSolid background in business analysis and data analysisProven solid project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesProven excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiencesPreferred Qualifications :
Graduate in any discipline5+ years of hands-on experience3+ years of experience in working with onsite clients / stakeholdersExperience working with survey vendors or in a survey research environmentExperience working on highly complex technical projectsKnowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)Familiarity with statistical sampling methodologiesProficiency in tools such as Excel, SAS Enterprise, SQL, or other data analysis platformsProven abilities to solve the data issues by providing valuable suggestionsAt UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
