Database Engineer

Expereince : 2 - 4 Years

Location : Hyderabad

Essential Skills :

Basic Knowledge of Oracle and PostgreSQL Databases :

Understanding of Oracle and PostgreSQL database architecture, structures, and operations (tablespaces, schemas, data types, etc.).

SQL Proficiency :

Ability to write and understand basic SQL queries for troubleshooting and administrative tasks.

Basic Backup & Recovery Knowledge :

Familiarity with backup and recovery strategies for both Oracle (RMAN) and PostgreSQL (pg_dump, pg_basebackup).

Performance Monitoring & Tuning :

Basic experience in monitoring and improving database performance.

Operating System Knowledge :

Familiarity with Linux / Unix or Windows operating systems where Oracle and PostgreSQL are deployed.

Attention to Detail :

Ability to work with accuracy and follow standard operating procedures.

Preferred Skills :

Experience with Database Tools :

Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), pgAdmin, or other database management and monitoring tools.

Scripting Knowledge :

Basic knowledge of shell scripting (Bash, PowerShell) for automating database tasks.

Database Security Practices :

Understanding of basic security principles such as user authentication, roles, and permissions.

Version Control & Change Management :

Experience in working with version-controlled environments and knowledge of change management processes.
