Automation Lead or Test Lead

Key Responsibilities :

• Test Planning and Strategy : Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies to ensure the quality of software products.
• Test Metrics : Define, collect, and analyze test metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the testing process.
• Governance : Ensure compliance with testing standards and best practices and provide governance over the testing process.
• Release Management : Coordinate and manage software releases, ensuring that all quality standards are met before deployment.
• Defect Management : Oversee the defect management process, including defect tracking, reporting, and resolution.
• Agile Methodologies : Work within agile teams to integrate testing activities into the development process.
• Jira Management : Utilize Jira for test case management, defect tracking, and project management.
• Team Leadership : Lead and mentor a team of testers, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
• Testing Reviews : Conduct thorough reviews of test cases, test scripts, and test results to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Test Data Management : Manage and maintain test data to ensure it is accurate, relevant, and secure.
• Stakeholder Collaboration : Work closely with business and product owners to conduct walkthroughs and ensure alignment on testing requirements and outcomes.
• Qualifications :
• Experience : 10+ years in software testing, with a focus on test metrics, test planning, and governance.
• Industry Knowledge : Exposure to the life insurance industry is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills : Proficiency in Jira, defect management tools, and agile methodologies.
• Leadership Skills : Proven experience in leading and mentoring testing teams.
• Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem Solving : Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
• Preferred Skills :
• Experience with automated testing tools.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB).
