About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow Service Portal Developer to design and deliver engaging digital experiences within the ServiceNow platform.

This role requires strong expertise in Service Portal development, custom widget design, and UI / UX optimization.

The developer will work closely with architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to deliver portals that are intuitive, performant, and aligned with enterprise standards.

The ideal candidate is a ServiceNow expert with solid front-end development skills (AngularJS, JavaScript, HTML, CSS) and hands-on experience in integrating portals with REST and SOAP APIs.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, build, and customize ServiceNow Service Portals and widgets.
  • Develop responsive, user-friendly interfaces using AngularJS, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Integrate Service Portals with external systems using REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Optimize portal performance and ensure a seamless user experience (UX).
  • Collaborate with UX / UI designers to bring wireframes and prototypes to life.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve defects or issues in Service Portal and related components.
  • Maintain code quality through reviews, testing, and documentation.
  • Work closely with business analysts and architects to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Participate in Agile sprints, contributing to story grooming, demos, and retrospectives.
  • Stay updated with ServiceNow releases and suggest improvements based on new capabilities.

Must-Have Skills :

  • 6+ years of experience in ServiceNow development with focus on Service Portal customization.
  • Strong expertise in AngularJS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related UI frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with REST / SOAP API integrations.
  • Proven ability to design custom widgets and reusable UI components in ServiceNow.
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.

    • Good-to-Have Skills :

  • Knowledge of other ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, CSM, or HRSD.
  • Familiarity with UX / UI best practices and accessibility standards.
  • Experience with Bootstrap or modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CAD, or CISService Portal.
