What Youll Do :
Key Responsibilities :
- Serve as the technical lead for large-scale, complex software projects, ensuring architectural integrity, scalability, and performance for data platform and pipelines.
- Provide expert guidance on software design, architecture, and implementation strategies to ensure alignment with business and technical objectives.
- Drive technical innovation and evaluate emerging technologies to integrate into the development ecosystem.
- Lead the design and development of key system components, frameworks, and services that form the foundation of Duck Creeks data product offerings.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Quality Assurance, and other Engineering teams to deliver high-quality, on-time software solutions.
- Influence technical roadmaps and make architectural decisions that support long-term scalability and maintainability.
- Ensure adherence to software development best practices, including coding standards, testing, security, and performance optimization.
- Design, implement, and manage scalable data pipelines and ETL / ELT processes using Snowflake and related technologies.
- Architect, develop, review, and optimize complex SQL queries and data models to support business intelligence and analytics requirements.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data platforms and pipelines.
- Perform data migration, integration, and transformation tasks from various sources into Snowflake.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data loads, performance, and data availability.
- Partner with engineering teams across the organization to solve complex technical challenges and drive engineering excellence.
- Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and provide constructive feedback to engineering teams.
- Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation that supports the engineering teams in delivering solutions efficiently.
- Work closely with DevOps to ensure continuous integration and deployment pipelines are optimized for fast and reliable software delivery.
- Stay updated on Snowflake features, Modern Data Platform and industry trends, recommending improvements and new technologies as appropriate.
- Act as a thought leader within the engineering organization, contributing to technical discussions, knowledge sharing, and fostering a culture of technical excellence.

What Youve Done :
Education and Work Experience :
Bachelors degree, or higher education level, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Information Sciences, and / or related field.Total Work Experience : 6+ years (software development).Leadership Experience : 3 years minimum, 5 years preferred.Specialized Knowledge, Skills, And / or Abilities :
Extensive experience with software architecture, design patterns, and modern data platform architecture such as lakehouses.Strong technical leadership experience on large-scale projects in a global organization.Experience with other cloud data technologies (e.g., Snowflake, SQL Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage) is a plus.Experience with cloud networking architectures and understanding of devops Industry best practices (e.g. Azure Infrastructure, Private Connectivity, Azure DevOps Services, CI / CD pipeline, Terraform on Azure).Prior experience working in a senior technical role in a global software company.In-depth understanding of modern software development methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and DevOps practices.Proficiency in managing complex software development projects with competing priorities and deadlines.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.Expertise in cloud computing platforms such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.Ability to foster a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture.Proven ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and resource planning in an engineering organization.Proficiency in software development tools, such as Microsoft Devops, Git, and CI / CD pipelines.Commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and process optimization.Ability to manage conflict and resolve complex team dynamics.Strategic thinking with a focus on long-term planning and aligning engineering efforts with business goals.High emotional intelligence and ability to manage diverse teams effectively.Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.Other Requirements :
