What You'll Do

Execute manual testing (functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory) for web and mobile applications.
Design, develop, and maintain basic automation scripts for UI and API testing using Selenium, Postman, and TestNG.
Create and maintain detailed test cases, test data, and test reports.
Identify, log, and track defects using JIRA or similar tools; collaborate with developers to ensure timely fixes.
Conduct API testing and validate response accuracy and data consistency.
Perform database validation through SQL queries to ensure data integrity.
Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and QA reviews as part of an Agile / Scrum team.
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and automation coverage.

Qualifications

1–2 years of experience in software testing (manual and automation).

Strong understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and the SDLC / STLC process.

Hands-on experience with Selenium, TestNG, and Postman (RestAssured is a plus).

Familiarity with bug tracking tools like JIRA or ClickUp.

Ability to write and execute basic SQL queries for backend validation.

Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and communication skills.

Eagerness to learn automation frameworks and testing tools.
