Role Overview

As a BD Caller in the Education team, you’ll be responsible for lead conversion and B2B outreach. You will handle inbound student inquiries, make outbound calls to prospective leads, and onboard institutional partners. The role demands strong communication skills, empathy, and sales orientation.

Key Responsibilities

1.) Lead Conversion & Counselling

  • Call interested student leads to explain benefits and convert them into confirmed buyers.
  • Maintain follow-up cadence via phone, WhatsApp, and email until closure.
  • Meet daily and weekly conversion targets.
  • 2.) B2B Outreach

  • Identify and connect with coaching institutes, consultants, and aggregators for voucher sales.
  • Pitch partnership plans, negotiate margins, and onboard new partners.
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM.
  • 3.) Customer Relationship Management

  • Ensure a smooth pre- and post-sales experience for both students and partners.
  • Gather feedback and escalate pain points to internal teams.
  • 4.) Reporting & Coordination

  • Maintain daily logs of calls, leads, conversions, and collections.
  • Coordinate with Business Development and Operations for voucher delivery and payment tracking.
  • Must-Have Skills

    1) Communication & Persuasion

  • Excellent spoken English and Hindi (mandatory).
  • Fluency in any South Indian language (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam) will be a plus.
  • 2) Sales Orientation & Target Achievement

  • Proven ability to convert leads via outbound / inbound calls.
  • Understands funnel management (leads → follow-ups → closures).
  • 3) Product Knowledge & Value Selling

  • Quickly learns our offerings (exam discounts, partner benefits).
  • Communicates value clearly to both students and B2B partners.
  • 4) CRM Discipline & Data Hygiene

  • Accurately updates call status, notes, and follow-ups in CRM or Excel tracker.
  • 5) Professionalism & Team Collaboration

  • Works well in fast-paced, target-oriented setup.
  • Keeps peers and managers informed on progress or blocker.
  • Good-to-Have Skills

  • Prior experience in EdTech, Study-Abroad, or Exam-Booking industry.
  • Knowledge of PTE / GRE / TOEFL exam ecosystem.
  • Exposure to B2B partnership sales.
  • Working knowledge of Excel and Google Sheets for basic reporting.
