Role overview :
We are looking for a Senior AEM Developer with strong Adobe Experience Manager expertise and hands-on experience with Edge Delivery Services. This role combines core AEM Sites / DAM development and platform maintenance with designing and implementing edge-layer solutions (CDN, edge compute, routing, caching and delivery policies) that improve performance, reliability and security of global web properties.
Key responsibilities :
- Design, develop and maintain AEM Sites and DAM implementations using best practices for JCR / Sling / OSGi and Sling Models.
- Lead performance optimization initiatives across AEM and the delivery layer : caching strategies, CDN configuration, edge logic, origin shielding and cache invalidation patterns.
- Architect and implement Edge Delivery Services solutions (CDN configuration, edge workers / compute, request routing, edge caching, image optimization, origin failover) to deliver fast, resilient, and secure web experiences.
- Collaborate with solution architects, DevOps, security and marketing teams to define delivery patterns, purge / invalidation processes, and deployment workflows that integrate AEM with CDN / edge platforms.
- Implement and maintain integration points between AEM and edge / CDN services (e.G., cache-control headers, surrogate keys, AEM Dispatcher rules, cache invalidation APIs).
- Participate in platform upgrades and migrations (AEM on-prem → AEM as a Cloud Service) and ensure edge delivery patterns remain effective and secure.
- Build and maintain automation for deployments, cache purging, health checks and monitoring across AEM and edge / CDN.
- Lead code reviews, enforce coding standards and mentor peers to maintain high development quality.
- Troubleshoot production incidents spanning AEM, origin services and the edge / CDN layer;
perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

5+ years’ experience in AEM development (Sites, Templates, Components, Sling, OSGi, JCR) with strong knowledge of Sling models and best practices.Demonstrable experience designing and operating CDN / edge delivery solutions for enterprise websites (configuring caching, TTLs, headers, route rules, origin shielding and invalidation).Familiarity with common CDN / edge platforms and features (e.G., Fastly, Akamai, Cloudflare, AWS CloudFront, Microsoft Azure Front Door).Strong understanding of Dispatcher configuration and interaction between AEM Dispatcher, origin, and CDN.Solid knowledge of HTTP fundamentals, caching semantics (Cache-Control, ETag, Vary, Surrogate-Key), TLS, and modern HTTP protocols (HTTP / 2, HTTP / 3).Experience with performance monitoring and observability tools (New Relic, Dynatrace, logs, synthetic checks) and using metrics to tune delivery.Experience integrating analytics and personalization technologies (Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, or equivalents) with delivery strategies.Skilled in RESTful APIs, JSON / XML and front-end basics (JavaScript ES6+, HTML5, CSS3).Experience working in distributed / global teams and following Agile practices.Desired / Nice to have :
Experience with AEM as a Cloud Service and Adobe Experience Platform integrations.Hands-on knowledge of edge security features : WAF, bot management, DDoS mitigation, origin access controls and header-based access policies.Familiarity with image / asset optimization at edge (adaptive images, WebP, responsive delivery) and DAM asset CDN integration.Knowledge of CI / CD tooling for AEM and edge deployments (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, pipelines that include CDN invalidation steps).Understanding of SEO, accessibility and marketing automation impacts on delivery and caching strategies.Qualification :
