Position : Lead Copywriter – Higher Education & Study Abroad

Location : Mulund (East), Mumbai

Type : Full-time, Onsite (No remote option)

The Role – More Than Just Words

We’re on the lookout for a seasoned Copywriter (Team Lead) who lives and breathes content, understands the nuances of global education , and knows how to turn “meh” into “wow.” You’ll lead a small team of writers and interns, oversee all types of content, and build narratives that connect, convert, and inspire.

Whether it's a blog post, landing page, YouTube script, or a cheeky Insta caption—you’ll be the guardian of our voice and the architect of our storytelling.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Own the tone of voice for all Grad-Dreams platforms—websites, blogs, newsletters, social, video, you name it.
  • Lead & mentor our team of content writers and interns. Help them grow, improve, and write with heart.
  • Work closely with marketing & SEO teams to create strategic, keyword-optimized content that doesn’t sound like a robot wrote it.
  • Brainstorm big ideas for campaigns and storytelling that resonate with GEN-Z’s (and their parents too).
  • Write sharp, emotional, and motivating content for students looking to study abroad—because this decision literally changes lives.
  • Help build internal processes, content calendars, and quality-check systems that keep the ship sailing smoothly.
  • Collaborate with designers, developers, and leadership to turn ideas into digital experiences .

Requirements

Who You (Probably) Are

  • 3–6 years of professional writing experience , ideally in Education, Ed-Tech, or Study Abroad
  • Comfortable switching tones—from smart & scholarly to witty & playful
  • Experienced in managing writers , editors, or creative teams
  • Obsessed with grammar but never boring
  • Have a portfolio that proves you can write content that moves people
  • Understand SEO, but never let it ruin a good headline
  • Curious about students, their fears, their dreams—and can write to them, not just about them
  • Bonus Points For :

  • First-hand study abroad experience (you’ve walked the walk)
  • Experience in storytelling for global audiences (India + international)
  • A flair for writing video scripts, ad copies, and short-form content (especially for reels / YouTube)

    Qualifications : Bachelor's Degree in Arts / Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s Degree preferred. Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Technical Skills : Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software. Analytical Skills : Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Interpersonal Skills : Ability to build relationships with various stakeholders including students, parents, and financial institutions. Ethical Conduct : Unquestionable ethics and discretion in handling sensitive financial information. Language Skills : Proficiency in a second language is a plus, especially one that is commonly spoken by our student clientele.
