1. Job Details

Job Title : Manager – Placement

Area : Administration

Location : Pune

Reporting to Asst. Director – Career Services

2. Job Purpose : To facilitate and guide the students in achieving their best career objectives.

3. Key Accountability -

Strategic

  • Support in planning & execution of Career Services strategies

Operational

  • Identifying potential companies for campus recruitment and other industry partnerships, by cold calls, personal visit and make effective presentation of the University
  • Continuous updating of database of companies.
  • Build rapport with industries, corporates for Placements, trainings & other Industry Connect Activities.
  • To conduct end to end campus recruitment process (CRP) for the respective school from forming of student’s committee, inviting companies for CRP, arranging necessary infrastructure etc.
  • Accompanying students for placement process, pool in campus drives at other institutions, off campus drives, etc.
  • To provide career counselling to the candidates.
  • To conduct briefing sessions to make students well prepared and well aware of the job profile, company, future prospects etc. before every campus process.
  • Collecting feedback from recruiters, students & stakeholders and analyzing the same.
  • To prepare and execute an action plan on the basis of shared feedbacks & suggestions.
  • To chalk out and implement the holistic training programme featuring of mock GDPIs, extempore, case study etc. to gauge their ability and efficiency.
  • Revenue Generation – Generating revenue for the University through CSR, MDP & Centre of Excellence (Setting up of CoE’s)
  • Any other functions or duties that may be assigned from time to time.

  • Ensure budget pertaining to your areas of function is utilized, optimized and tracked
  • Collaborations

  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with Heads of Schools and various industry partners to drive the Industry Partnerships team which results in maximum value in industry – academia collaboration and career services
  • Academic

  • Promote the culture of positivity, collaboration, continuous improvement, and commitment to quality in all aspects of career services activities
  • External Representation

  • Represent MIT WPU on various professional bodies of repute which is value adding building relationship with the community, government agencies, society at large and with ultimate objective of building MIT WPU brand

    Substantial leadership and management experience

  • Able to provide effective and inspiring leadership by being actively involved in all programs and services, developing a broad and deep knowledge of all programs
  • External relations and Corporate engagement

    The ability to advocate at the highest levels regionally and nationally on behalf of the University and to influence the decision maker.

  • Minimum Qualification & Experience

  • MBA from Premier Institute with 8 to 10 years of experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral

  • Driving for positive results both in quantitative and qualitative measures
  • Ability to effectively manage and evaluate the day-to-day work, assign the responsibilities; oversee the assignments to ensure the work is done accurately and timely; and provide personal development to direct reports
