Role Overview :
We are looking for a Proposal Writer to support our team in creating high-quality, client-facing documentation, including proposals, Statements of Qualifications (SOQs), and responses to RFPs / RFQs. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals interested in learning the fundamentals of technical writing in the engineering, construction, or disaster recovery space.
The selected candidate will collaborate with proposal managers, technical experts, and business development teams to assist in developing clear, compelling, and compliant written content that aligns with Ceres' service standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Draft, edit, and review proposal content, presentations, and supporting documentation tailored for legal, compliance, or contract-related projects.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to translate technical / legal input into clear, persuasive, and client-focused narratives.
- Analyse RFPs, RFIs, and tender documents to identify legal and compliance requirements, ensuring proposals address them accurately.
- Maintain and update a repository of standard templates, attorney resumes, project descriptions, case studies, and other reusable legal / proposal content.
- Support document formatting and layout in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, ensuring compliance with client guidelines and professional standards.
- Participate in review meetings, revisions, and quality checks to ensure proposals are aligned with legal terminology, compliance, and stakeholder requirements.
- Perform proofreading and legal accuracy checks to ensure documents are grammatically correct, consistent, and compliant with applicable laws and regulations.
- Assist in document version control, submission coordination, and deadline management to ensure timely delivery of proposals.
- Research legal precedents, industry standards, and case references where relevant to strengthen proposal narratives.
- Contribute to the development of best practices for proposal writing in legal services and maintain awareness of industry / regulatory updates.
Skills and Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Law3-8 year of writing experience through internships, freelance projects, academic assignments, or campus publications.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Basic understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).Ability to follow templates and formatting guidelines.High attention to detail and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.Strong organizational and time management skills.(ref : iimjobs.com)
