Job description

OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION

To build and maintain high-performing, scalable, and secure web and backend applications that support Karma Group’s digital platforms. This role aims to ensure seamless user experiences, efficient system operations, and continuous technological improvement by applying modern development practices, optimizing system architecture, and effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize web applications using Next.js, React.js, Node.js, and related technologies.
  • Design, build, and manage RESTful APIs, including integration, documentation, and performance optimization.
  • Work across the full stack : frontend, backend, database, server, and deployment environments.
  • Implement secure coding practices and ensure application security, authentication, and data protection.
  • Set up and manage CI / CD pipelines, automated deployment scripts, and version controlled workflows.
  • Configure servers, DNS settings, hosting environments, and ensure reliable system performance.
  • Collaborate with designers, product teams, and backend engineers to deliver seamless and intuitive user experiences.
  • Participate in code reviews, follow SDLC processes, and adhere to engineering best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in development, staging, and production environments.
  • Monitor system health, performance, and logs to ensure stability and scalability.
  • Stay updated with modern technologies, frameworks, and industry trends to improve the tech stack.
  • Contribute to database design, optimization, and query performance improvements.
  • Work with Git-based version control, including branching, pull requests, and release management.
  • Provide technical support, documentation, and guidance to team members when required.
  • Ensure high-quality deliverables with proper testing, validation, and QA collaboration.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to review, refactor, and improve existing codebases.
