About the Job

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced  SSRS Report Developer to join our team and help design, develop and optimize reporting solutions using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing, maintaining and enhancing SSRS reports with a strong expertise in SQL driving business intelligence initiatives with agility and precision.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain SSRS reports tailored to evolving business reporting needs.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions and manipulate data from relational databases (MS SQL Server preferred).
  • Perform thorough database performance tuning and rapid troubleshooting to meet urgent business demands.
  • Ensure all reports are clear, actionable, and optimized for performance and scalability.
  • Conduct unit testing and troubleshoot report errors, issues, or data discrepancies.
  • Deploy, schedule, and manage report delivery within the SSRS environment, including permissions and subscriptions.
  • Prepare technical and user documentation for deployed reports and dashboards.
  • Provide support and training to end-users regarding report navigation and interpretation.
  • Stay up to date with best practices in SSRS, SQL optimization, and business intelligence reporting.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with SSRS(SQL Server Reporting Services ) for developing and managing business-critical reports.
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience with SQL having knowledge in writing complex queries, joins, stored procedures, indexing strategies and query optimization.
  • Experience with report parameterization, drill-through, and visual elements in SSRS.
  • Exposure to performance tuning and optimization techniques for large datasets.
  • Solid understanding of relational database concepts (MS SQL Server preferred).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Strong attention to detail, superior organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated sense of curiosity and ability to ask the right questions.
  • Growth mindset, a willingness to learn to improve and sharpen skill sets.
