The Inventory Planner will be responsible for ensuring the right stock levels across warehouses / plant locations to support business demand. The role focuses on demand forecasting, inventory optimisation, replenishment planning, and ensuring high product availability with minimal excess or obsolescence.
Key Planning & Control
- Maintain optimal inventory levels across locations to meet service level targets.
- Analyse stock trends, consumption patterns, and order fulfilment rates.
- Monitor slow-moving, fast-moving, and non-moving inventory.
Demand & Supply Coordination
Work closely with Demand Planners, Sourcing, Production, and Sales teams to understand demand requirements.Align inventory plans with production schedules and vendor lead times.Support monthly S&OP planning.Replenishment & Ordering
Generate replenishment plans and purchase requisitions.Track inbound shipments and ensure timely replenishment.Manage safety stock, reorder points, and min-max levels.Analytics & Reporting
Create inventory dashboards and MIS reports (DOH, coverage, stock ageing, fill rates, etc.).Identify risks related to stockouts or excess inventory.Process Improvement
Recommend optimisation steps to reduce carrying cost and improve inventory accuracy.Support cycle counting and stock reconciliation activities with WH operations teams.Key Skills & Competencies - Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets.
