EDTEX provides Automation Software Products in 40 Premier Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in India and globally aims to expand this number to 200 within the next two years. To support this growth, EDTEX is expanding its Designer team. This presents a fantastic opportunity for a Sales enthusiast to join a rapidly growing enterprise SaaS startup and work closely with the founders, thereby making a significant impact on their careers.

Key Responsibilities :

We're seeking Team-member(s) who can help us scale 10X in revenue and new clients in the next 3 years in the Higher Education Technology solutions domain.

You will be engaging with key decision-makers, communicating compelling value propositions for Academic Operations Process Automation Solutions with a focus on Student success, alleviating operations pain-points, bringing in operational efficiencies in HEI, and closing complex deals.

The responsibilities are broadly categorised into the following categories :

1. Lead Creation and Nurturing :

  • Prospect New Leads daily
  • Develop a strong Lead pipeline to increase our score
  • Conduct Secondary research for identifying Leads
  • Engage targeted leads over cold emailing, LinkedIn DM, and other Digital channels relevant for initial lead engagement.

2. Marketing Campaigns :

  • Once Leads are identified, you are expected to design Marketing campaigns collaborating with the Marketing Team.
  • You are expected to work with the Product team and the Marketing team to prepare marketing material.
  • 3. Problem Discovery Calls :

  • Conduct High-quality Problem Discovery calls and understand the key pain points of the customer.
  • 4. Sales Demos :

  • Sales demo is the most crucial step in the overall sales process. You are expected to do Compelling Product Demos.
  • You are expected to give a high-quality presentation to the prospects.
  • 5. Post Demo Engagement :

  • Due to the long sales cycle in B2B, you are expected to engage with the customer post demo till the closure happens.
  • During this engagement, you will work with internal teams to set up a sandbox environment and provide it to the customer.
  • You measure the usage and accordingly engage with the customer and drive them to the Proposal stage.
  • 6. Proposals :

  • You are expected to write comprehensive proposals and engage with Procurement teams.
  • 7. Deal Closure :

  • Deal Closure is an important step and needs constant follow-ups, sharing additional information and much more.
  • 8. Project Monitoring :

  • Once the deal is closed and execution has begun, you are expected to monitor the project's progress to ensure the team is meeting customer expectations.
  • 9. Account Management :

  • You are expected to take care of existing customers and new customers you acquire during the sales journey.
  • You are expected to build and
  • maintain relationships with key stakeholders in target organisations.

    10. Sales Forecasting :

  • You are expected to develop Sales Plans with accurate sales forecasts and consistently meet quarterly sales targets.
  • 11. Using CRM :

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation in CRM (Folk or any other)
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and product developments.

    1. We aimed to encompass all the responsibilities of a B2B Sales Manager at EDTEX, though the duties may evolve according to the business requirements.

    2. This is an excellent role for someone who wants to build a great career in Sales and wants to become an entrepreneur in future. This role gives complete exposure to Sales in a short time, which would otherwise take several years.

    Ideal Profile

    1. We are seeking MBA graduates from Tier-1 colleges who are keen to grow the world of B2B SaaS sales and Solution consulting.

    2. Proven

    Experience in Sales / GTM

    for about

    1-3 years

    3. Have Real Patience and Strategy to drive complex sales cycles (6-12 months) with multiple stakeholders.

    4. Strong negotiation, presentation, and powerful communication skills (written and oral in English

    5. Comfortable working with data and insights

    6. Comfortable to travel (minimum 25% of the time)

    Additional Notes :

    1. Currently, the founders are leading the Sales. You will be the first Hire in the Sales team.

    2. This role has fantastic learning opportunities, and you will report directly to the Founder (Sales Head).

    Compensation and Benefits :

    1. Package Details - 15L to 20L CTC

  • Fixed Pay - 15L
  • Individual Performance Bonus (Variable) - 1.2L
