Procurement Engineer

Job OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Purchaser to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing procurement processes, sourcing materials, and ensuring efficient supply chain operations. This position requires expertise in various procurement management systems and a strong understanding of inventory control, supplier management, and contract negotiation. Duties Manage the procurement process from sourcing to purchasing, ensuring timely acquisition of materials. Utilize ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS for inventory management and procurement activities. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure favorable pricing. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to understand material requirements and ensure alignment with production schedules. Monitor inventory levels and implement MRP strategies to optimize stock levels while minimizing excess inventory. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure quality service and timely delivery of products. Oversee logistics related to supply chain operations, ensuring efficient movement of goods from suppliers to the organization. Prepare and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Analyze purchasing data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for improvement in supply chain management. Qualifications Proven experience in purchasing or procurement management within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle EBS) and their application in procurement processes. Familiarity with supply chain management principles, including sourcing, logistics, and vendor management. Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract negotiations. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data related to pricing, inventory control, and supplier performance. Effective communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
