Design and review HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting, and low-voltage systems as per project specifications and industry standardsPrepare detailed MEP design calculations, layouts, and BOQs using AutoCAD and other MEP design softwareCoordinate closely with architects, structural engineers, consultants, and site teams to ensure proper MEP integrationEnsure compliance with local authority regulations, sustainability guidelines, IS / NBC codes, and ECBC standardsParticipate in project planning, budgeting, and feasibility analysis for MEP-related worksReview vendor / shop drawings, technical submittals, and material specifications to align with design requirementsProvide technical support to on-site execution teams and resolve MEP-related challenges during constructionConduct design audits, system inspections, and quality checks to ensure adherence to approved standards and specificationsRequirements
Skills & Competencies
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP, Dialux, and other relevant MEP software
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems
- Familiarity with IS / NBC codes, ECBC, and local construction standards and guidelines
- Ability to perform accurate calculations and develop integrated MEP designs
- Skilled in multidisciplinary coordination and design review processes
- Excellent communication, analytical, and time management skills
Preferred Background
- Prior experience in real estate or construction sector projects (residential, commercial, or mixed-use)
- Experience working with contractors, developers, or engineering consultants in MEP design / planning roles
- Exposure to green building practices, energy-efficient systems, and automation technologies is an added advantage
