SAP ABAP Consultant - E2E Implementation

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled SAP ABAP Consultant to join our team in Chennai. This is a full-time, on-site position. The ideal candidate will have 710 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development and possess a strong background in delivering robust, high-quality solutions. This role is crucial for developing, enhancing, and maintaining our SAP applications to meet evolving business requirements. Immediate joiners are highly preferred.

Responsibilities :

The SAP ABAP Consultant will be responsible for a variety of development, maintenance, and support activities, including :

• Development & Enhancement : Design, develop, test, and implement custom SAP applications and enhancements using the ABAP programming language.
• Reporting : Create complex and efficient ALV Reports (ABAP List Viewer) to meet specific business reporting needs.
• Enhancements : Implement system modifications and enhancements using standard SAP techniques, including User Exits, BAdIs (Business Add-Ins), and Enhancement Framework.
• Interfaces : Develop and manage interfaces with external systems using technologies such as BAPI (Business Application Programming Interface) and IDoc (Intermediate Document) for seamless data exchange.
• Modern ABAP : Apply strong knowledge and practical experience in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) in ABAP to build reusable, scalable, and maintainable code.
• Collaboration : Work closely with SAP Functional Consultants, Business Analysts, and end-users to understand business requirements, define technical specifications, and provide effective, timely solutions.
• Debugging & Support : Perform rigorous debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of existing and new ABAP programs.
• Documentation : Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and post-implementation support guides.
