Job description4-8 years' experience in pricing, quotations or commercials within steel, building materials, logistics or a B2B marketplace. Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business, Engineering or related field (MBA / Operations is a plus). Expert level MS Excel; working knowledge of ERP / CRM systems (SAP, Tally, Zoho, Salesforce). Solid understanding of steel grades, freight components, GST & margin calculations. Strong numerical accuracy, stakeholder coordination and urgency mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and issue competitive quotations within 24 hours (4 hours for express deals) using live supplier rates and approved margin matrices.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Logistics and Finance to ensure accurate material costs, freight, GST and credit terms.
- Maintain and update master price sheets, freight slabs and GST tables in ERP / CRM.
- Track quotation‑to‑order conversion and margin slippage; present insights for weekly price reviews.
- Negotiate price extras, validity and terms with customers and vendors as needed.
- Ensure compliance with BIS standards, HSN / GST codes and internal approval limits.
- Continuously improve quotation templates and automate data handling to cut manual effort.
