The Steel Worker plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of the steelworks plant ensuring optimal production and safety standards. This position involves operating various machinery including cranes and furnaces to prepare and manage the steel production process. The Steel Worker is responsible for maintaining the functionality and cleanliness of the plant while adhering to safety and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities :

• Ensure flexible staffing to maintain plant availability.
• Operate cranes following operational specifications.
• Prepare operate and tap the electric arc furnace for optimal production.
• Operate the ladle furnace to prepare charges for continuous casting.
• Inspect refractory materials and prepare ladles for tapping.
• Prepare strands at the continuous casting plant as per instructions.
• Monitor and control casting processes according to specifications.
• Comply with safety and environmental protection regulations.
• Maintain plant functionality and ensure cleanliness in the work area.

Requirements

Required Skills :

Language Level : Minimum A2 level required at the job interview; B1 level necessary upon entry. Experience : 2 years of professional experience steel worker Knowledge in metalworking steelworks rolling mills or foundries. Team player with a willingness to learn and understand recurring processes. Physical constitution suitable for the role.
