We are seeking an experienced and self-driven HR professional to establish and lead our Human Resources function.

Position Overview

The  Head of Human Resources  will be Codexon’s first dedicated HR professional, reporting directly to the CEO. This role is responsible for building the HR framework from the ground up, including  U.S. and India-specific hiring, OPT / H1B consultant management, policies, compliance, and employee lifecycle processes . The position requires a strategic yet hands-on individual who can operate independently, serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, and ensure HR practices align with Codexon’s business goals and values.

Key Responsibilities

HR Strategy & Leadership

  • Partner directly with the Chairman & CEO to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with Codexon’s business objectives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on all people-related matters, including culture, compliance, and workforce planning.
  • Align hiring and workforce strategies with the company’s growth across U.S. and India operations.

Policies, Procedures & Compliance

  • Design, document, and implement HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks for both U.S. and India operations.
  • Ensure compliance with employment, payroll, and labor regulations in both regions.
  • Develop frameworks for performance management, leave, benefits, disciplinary procedures, and grievance handling.
  • Maintain knowledge of immigration, visa, and employment regulations affecting IT consultants.
  • Employee Lifecycle Management

  • Own the end-to-end employee lifecycle (recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, exit formalities).
  • Lead  talent acquisition for both U.S. and India , including full-time, OPT, CPT, and H1B hiring.
  • Draft and manage employment-related documents including offer letters, contracts, experience letters, and settlement agreements.
  • Develop standardized onboarding and induction programs tailored for both domestic and international hires.
  • Talent & Culture

  • Establish performance management and feedback systems.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, morale, and retention across a multi-country workforce.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and professional work culture that reflects Codexon’s values globally.
  • Operations & Administration

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
  • Coordinate payroll processes with finance teams in both the U.S. and India, ensuring statutory compliance in each region.
  • Develop templates, SOPs, and reporting mechanisms for HR operations.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with  direct experience in IT consulting or IT staffing firms .
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR practices in both the U.S. and India.
  • Proven expertise in OPT, CPT, and H1B hiring, onboarding, and compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to design HR policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks from scratch.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills (This is non-negotiable).
  • Proven ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
