Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer – SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) to lead the design, configuration, and delivery of EWM solutions supporting global warehouse processes and business operations. This role requires a hands-on EWM expert with strong implementation and support experience, the ability to mentor junior engineers, and the capability to collaborate with global IT and business stakeholders in an agile environment.

Job Requirements

Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field

SAP EWM certification preferred

Experience

4–7 years of hands-on experience in SAP EWM as a functional configurator or techno-functional consultant

Proven end-to-end implementation and support experience in complex warehouse environments

Experience working with global teams across time zones in agile environments

Essential Skills

Strong expertise in SAP EWM configuration (Inbound, Outbound, Internal Warehouse Processes)

Proficiency in RF framework, Warehouse Order Creation Rules, Storage Control, and Physical Inventory

Knowledge of integration points with MM, SD, TM, and third-party logistics providers

Experience with decentralized EWM and S / 4HANA embedded EWM models

Ability to write functional specifications and collaborate with ABAP teams for custom development

Understanding of master data dependencies and role-based access controls in EWM

Desired Skills

Familiarity with automation tools, conveyor integrations, and material flow systems

Strong debugging and impact analysis skills

Experience in cutover planning and post-go-live hypercare support

Exposure to SAP TM, LE, or other SCM modules

Basic ABAP debugging knowledge for functional support

Roles & Responsibilities

Delivery & Execution

Design, configure, and implement SAP EWM solutions aligned with business requirements

Conduct workshops, develop functional designs, and deliver high-quality configurations

Participate in solution architecture discussions and ensure compliance with enterprise standards

Lead defect triage, root cause analysis, and resolution during testing cycles

Develop process documentation and training materials for stakeholders

Support & Enablement

Provide functional and technical support to global business users

Mentor and guide junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing across teams

Identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, and digital transformation

Ensure compliance with IT governance and change management standards
