Role Overview
- As a Hardware Asset Management Operational Manager you will act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders (procurement, IT operations, portfolio team, asset management specialists) and development teams responsible for ServiceNow and supporting systems. You will support operational HAM processes, coordinate and drive stockroom / warehouse audits, participate in requirements collection with stakeholders and development teams, support UAT activities, and ensure asset data accuracy through reconciliation activities. Your role emphasizes process design, stakeholder alignment, verification, training, and operational governance rather than handson platform development.
What Will You Do In This Role
Plan, coordinate, and lead stockroom / warehouse audits and physical inventory activities define strategies, schedule audits, oversee count execution (either hands-on or via local teams), and drive variance resolution with operations and developers.Validate asset data and reconciliation outcomes review reconciliation reports produced by systems or scripts, identify anomalies, coordinate root-cause analysis with data engineers / developers, and prioritize fixes or process changes.Serve as the business–technical interface for HAM initiatives collaborate with stakeholders and development teams to collect and refine requirements, and translate needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and testable scenarios.Support UAT for HAM processes and integrations help prepare / automate UAT plans and test cases, coordinate test resources, assist in executing manual tests when needed, log issues, and communicate defects and acceptance status to stakeholders and dev teams.Define and maintain process documentation, runbooks, and tagging / inventory standards; ensure compliance with audit and regulatory requirements.Monitor HAM operational metrics (audit variance rate, reconciliation time, automation coverage, SLA adherence); recommend improvements and drive resolution of recurring issues.Support change management and training create user-facing playbooks, run stakeholder training for stockroom staff and asset custodians, and sustain adoption of HAM processes.What Should You Have
Practical experience in Hardware Asset Management processes stockroom / warehouse audits, asset tagging and lifecycle tracking, cycle counts, reconciliation, and inventory control best practices.Good understanding of ServiceNow HAM / ITAM / CMDB concepts and typical integrations (ERP / procurement, barcode / scan systems), sufficient to read design artifacts and validate expected behaviors.Strong experience as a business analyst or liaison in IT projects—able to participate in requirements collection and translate business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams.Experience supporting UAT activities for process and integration changes; comfortable coordinating testers and executing manual test cases when required (tools ServiceNow Automate, or equivalent), though responsibility for UAT ownership sits with QA / dev teams.Solid analytical skills and experience with data reconciliation and investigation (using ServiceNow reporting / dashboarding; any additional skills as SQL, Dataiku, PowerBI or spreadsheet-based analysis)Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills; experience coordinating cross-functional teams (procurement, facilities, IT operations, compliance).Familiarity with Agile delivery practices and working with distributed development teams; able to prioritize and manage an operational / UAT support backlog.Preferred certifications or training in HAM / ITAM processes, ServiceNow fundamentals, or testing / UAT methodologies.#HYDIT2025
