Job description

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Teradata Developer to join our team on a 6–8 month contractual engagement supporting our North American client. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Teradata development, advanced SQL expertise, and the ability to perform independent analysis and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize Teradata-based solutions using BTEQ, MLoad, FastLoad , and related utilities.
  • Write, debug, and tune complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
  • Analyze business and data requirements, troubleshoot issues, and provide efficient technical solutions.
  • Work independently while collaborating with cross-functional and onshore teams to ensure timely delivery.
  • Participate in data validation, performance tuning, and process improvements.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Teradata development .
  • Strong SQL programming and optimization skills.
  • Hands-on experience with BTEQ, MLoad, FastLoad , and other Teradata utilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a global environment

    • Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with AutoSys job scheduling.
  • Exposure to Google BigQuery or other cloud data platforms.

    • Additional Information

  • Immediate joiners will be given preference.
  • This is a contract role (6–8 months) with potential for extension based on project needs.
