Job Description
The Manager, FP&A will lead comprehensive financial planning, forecasting, and analysis for Global Health Projects' strategic initiatives and grant-funded programs. This role is responsible for delivering actionable financial insights, ensuring rigorous budget management, and supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization. The Manager will oversee end-to-end financial planning processes, ensure donor and compliance requirements are met, and drive continuous improvement in financial operations and reporting.
Roles and Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Forecasting :
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses for ongoing projects and new initiatives
- Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analyses to support strategic decision-making
- Monitor revenue projections, expense tracking, and cash flow forecasting in alignment with organizational goals
- Prepare rolling forecasts and quarterly business reviews to inform leadership on financial performance
Grant & Donor Financial Management :
Oversee grant budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance for Global Health Projects-funded initiativesPrepare, review, and submit donor financial reports, invoices, and forecasts in accordance with grantor requirementsEnsure full grant compliance : maintain documentation, support due diligence, conduct internal audit preparations, and coordinate external donor auditsAdvise program and technical teams on allowable costs, budget utilization, and financial risk mitigation strategiesFinancial Analysis & Insights :
Analyze financial performance, key performance indicators (KPIs), and operational metrics to identify trends and opportunitiesBuild financial models and dashboards to track project profitability, resource allocation, and cost-effectivenessProvide executive-level financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic planningSupport cost-benefit analysis and return-on-investment (ROI) assessments for new projectsBudget Management & Process Enhancement :
Manage annual budgeting cycles, including coordination with department heads and stakeholdersStrengthen and enhance internal finance processes, systems, and controls for improved accuracy and efficiencyDevelop best practices for financial planning, project accounting, and grant managementSupport project start-up, implementation, and close-out activities with accurate financial tracking and timely reportingStakeholder Collaboration :
Liaise with donors, organizational leadership, finance team members, and program stakeholders to resolve financial issues and provide strategic insightsBuild financial management capacity through training, mentorship, and knowledge sharing with cross-functional teamsPresent financial analysis and forecasts to senior management and board-level stakeholdersSkills & Expertise
Education
Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline (Qualifications like MBA-Finance, CA or CFA are required)Professional Experience
Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience in financial planning, analysis, or public grant management, preferably with international development organizations, Start-ups, NGOs, or mission-driven organizationsProven experience with donor / grant financial management, compliance reporting, and audit preparationDemonstrated expertise in financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysisExperience with project-based accounting and cost allocation methodologiesAdditional Requirements
