Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational requirements.
- Translate complex information into simple, clear, informative, and engaging content.
- Evaluate current content and develop innovative approaches for improvement.
- Research, outline, write, and edit new and existing content by working closely with various groups to understand their requirements.
- Follow and enhance the in-house style guide to develop content with a consistent voice across all documentation.
- Present various types of information, such as concepts, procedures, and examples / scenarios using a variety of formats.
- Offer guidance and support for more junior members of the team
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in professional or technical writing, or in any educational field such as journalism, or English.6-8 years of technical writing experience.Experience documenting web-based applications and solutions. Or experience producing online documentation for enterprise software.Proven ability to quickly acquire subject matter expertise on sophisticated business applications and understand high level technical concepts.Ability to deal with changing priorities and multiple assignments.Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.Experience working with product managers and developers to produce end-user training and other education materials.Experience using single-source authoring tools for multi-channel publishing.Preferred Qualifications
Experience in using Madcap Flare as an authoring tool.General experience with Microsoft technologies and toolsFamiliar with the Agile development methodology.Experience in using screen capture tools such as SnagIt or Capture.Experience with CSS.Experience in writing scripts / storyboards and producing online videos with tools, such as TechSmith Camtasia or Captivate.Skills Required
