Job Title : Head - Oils & Fats Catalysts (OFC) Production

Entity : Evonik Catalysts India Pvt. Ltd.

Work Location : Dombivli

Reporting to : Head of Operations

About the Role : The Head - Oils & Fats Catalysts (OFC) Production will oversee the production processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards and operational efficiency while leading a team to achieve production goals.

Key Responsibilities :

Production KPI’S : -

  • Strategise & Plan for production of OFC (Nickel Recovery plant / Nickel Carobnate Plant & Reduction plant) as per schedule / requirements received from sales department.
  • Ensure smooth operations of OFC (NRP / NCP & Reduction) for production of catalyst maintaining all the process parameters.
  • To strictly adhere to standard Operation procedure manual.
  • Co-ordinate with R&D / QC, & Store / Dispatch department as and when required.
  • Efficient team handling for maximum output and better result.
  • To train Team Shift leader in plant operation for quality output and work delegation.
  • Checking of monthly stock & MIS records.
  • Carry out trouble shooting on need basis, do the RCA and CAPA in coordination with cross functional team and ensure minimum or zero repetitive cases.

Maintenance KPI’S : -

  • To follow up equipment’s preventive schedule for smooth production and reduce machine breakdown.
  • Responsible for New project related to OFC / Replacement of old equipment.
  • Check and follow for action tracker register.
  • Active participation in monthly Production maintenance coordination meeting.
  • EHSQ KPI’S : -

  • Ensure all activities are carried out as per statutory compliance requirement in OFC and ZLD plant.
  • Ensure that all ISO audit finding to be close with appropriate action.
  • Follow up of ESTER and JSA points to close.
  • Hazop study and related points to be close.
  • Ensure plant pollution equipment are operational and emissions are as per prescribed standards.
  • Identify training requirement and coordinate with ESH function / impart training.
  • To adhere and monitor that all required safety standards are followed in plant as per process requirement.
  • Participate in hazard identification and risk assessment.
  • Training KPI’S : -

  • Verify and approve skill matrix prepare by production manager.
  • Train team leader to raise them to the decision-making level.
  • Cross check and verify training calendar & training documents at certain intervals which are prepare by production manager.
  • Quality KPI’S : -

  • Meet all requirements of QC during manufacturing & target Zero rejection.
  • Ensure product quality meets the standard requirement.
  • Monitor FTQ / PONC at regular intervals.
  • Education, Certification and / or relevant experience required

  • A highly skilled Chemical Engineer with a degree in Chemical Engineering and over minimum 10 years of extensive experience in managing and leading production operations within chemical plants.
  • Proven track record in optimizing production processes, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards, and driving operational excellence to enhance productivity and efficiency
  • Additional skills and abilities required for this position

  • Proficient in PLC and SCADA systems, with a solid understanding of instrumentation used in industrial processes alongwith project experience.
  • Technical Knowledge

  • Good understanding of manufacturing process and technical expectation from the products.
