SQL Server Solutions Engineer

Why this role matters

In this role, you’ll play a central part in ensuring our cloud database infrastructure is robust, compliant, and highly available. You’ll partner cross-functionally with CloudOps, DevOps, and SRE teams to maximize uptime, optimize performance, and automate operational workflows. Your work will shape our ability to deliver solutions at scale while upholding the highest standards of security and compliance (FedRAMP High, IL5). What you’ll do

• Administer, monitor, and support SQL Server databases on AWS (RDS, EC2) and Azure (SQL DB, Managed Instance, SQL on VMs)
• Manage backup / recovery, patching, and high availability (AlwaysOn, Geo-replication, Log Shipping)
• Tune SQL queries, improve indexing and analyze wait stats, leveraging SolarWinds DPA and related tools
• Integrate and optimize observability tools such as New Relic APM, RedGate Monitor, and SQL Monitor for real-time diagnostics and alerting
• Automate operational tasks using PowerShell, T-SQL, and other scripting tools;
