We are seeking a Principal Robotics Engineer with deep expertise in the mathematics and algorithms that power modern industrial robots. The ideal candidate will combine a strong theoretical foundation in robot kinematics, dynamics, and motion planning with hands-on experience in deploying and programming industrial manipulators
What You’ll Do
Tech You Will Perform
- Lead the design and development of robot motion and path-planning algorithms.
- Architect and implement kinematics and dynamics modules (FK, IK, Jacobian-based solvers, redundancy resolution) for 6-DOF and redundant manipulators.
- Research, model, and validate mathematical formulations for motion generation, collision avoidance, and constraint satisfaction.
- Integrate algorithms with industrial robot controllers (ABB IRC5 preferred; experience with Yaskawa, KUKA, Fanuc, UR is a plus).
- Collaborate cross-functionally with the Vision and Path-Planning teams to merge perception-driven planning with real-world execution.
- Mentor a team of engineers and researchers, setting the technical direction for the robotics stack.
Who You Are
Education and Experience
PhD in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Applied Mathematics (exceptional MS candidates with equivalent research experience considered).Strong mathematical foundation in linear algebra, optimization, differential kinematics, and control theory.Proven expertise with industrial robotic arms — ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa, Fanuc, UR, etc.Hands-on experience with trajectory generation, inverse kinematics solvers, and motion control pipelines.Strong understanding of path optimization, potential-field methods, and motion constraints.Ability to guide teams, conduct design reviews, and establish code quality and research standards.Why Join
