About the Role
We are looking for a professional with strong experience in design and manufacturing of large structural components, preferably within the wind turbine or composite industry. The role involves end-to-end responsibility for blade design, structural validation, and production support ensuring that product performance, manufacturability, and cost targets are consistently achieved. The ideal candidate will bring practical knowledge of composite structures, tooling, and production processes, combined with strong design and analysis capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead or support the design, development, and optimization of wind turbine blades.
- Prepare and review 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and documentation for new and existing designs.
- Perform structural and fatigue analyses to validate blade integrity and compliance with IEC / GL standards.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, tooling, and quality teams during prototype and production phases.
- Support root cause analysis, failure investigations, and design improvements for existing blades.
- Work with material suppliers and testing partners for qualification and validation.
- Contribute to Design for Manufacturability (DfM) and cost optimization initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, or equivalent).Minimum 5 years of experience in design and manufacturing of large structural or composite components.Proficiency in CAD and FEA tools (SolidWorks, Siemens NX, CATIA, ANSYS, Abaqus, etc.).Knowledge of composite materials, tooling design, and quality control.Familiarity with IEC 61400 and related industry standards.Preferred Qualifications
Experience in tooling and mould design, process optimization, or composite fabrication methods.Exposure to PLM systems, DFMEA / PFMEA, and Lean manufacturing principles.Understanding of testing protocols and material characterization.
