Legal Counsel
Job Description : General Corporate :
- Prepare, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements and documentation such as services agreements, SAAS agreements, terms and conditions etc. and drafting letters, responses to user complaints, notices, etc. with the internal and external stakeholders.
- Advise on contract structure and risk mitigation strategies.
Contract and litigation management :
Record keeping and ensuring effective management of contracts.Keeping record of all litigations, arbitrations, police matters etc. with the help of external counsels.Legal and corporate compliances :
Implementing the compliance tool and assisting the legal team in compliances with corporate, employment laws, and monitor developments in applicable laws and regulations.Liaison with external lawyers and litigation monitoring :
Collaborate with external counsel on litigation, arbitration, or enforcement matters.Assist in fact- finding, strategy sessions, settlement negotiations, and cost management.Legal Notices, Police Complaints, representations, letters etc. :
Drafting, sending and filing legal notices, police complaints, representations, letters etc.Briefing complex legal concepts into practical guidance for non-legal teams.Routine research and advisory :
Conducting legal analysis, providing routine legal advice, case laws, researches and opinions as and when needed by the Company on new and existing businesses.Cross-Functional Partnership :
Advise Finance, HR, Product, Sales, Marketing, and Operations on legal issues.Develop and implement compliance policies, conduct training, if any and perform internal audits.Required Qualifications :
Bachelors / Masters Law degree from an accredited institution.3+ years of in-house or law- firm experience in corporate / commercial law.Proven track record drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts.Strong knowledge of corporate governance, regulatory frameworks.Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.Preferred Skills & Attributes :
Exposure to technology, software licensing, or intellectual property matters.Experience with GDPR, CCPA, or other data-privacy regimes.Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.Collaborative mindset with a business-oriented approach.High ethical standards and commitment to compliance.(ref : iimjobs.com)
