Job Title : Sr Manager - Quality (Rejection Reduction)
Educational Qualification : BE or Diploma in Mechanical or Metallurgy or Advanced Degree in Foundry Technology
Reporting To : Senior Manager - QA / Senior General Manager - Operations
Age : 40 years and above
Experience : 17 to 22 years of experience in Foundry Quality Functions and at least 12 years in quality assurance leadership role.

The Sr.Manager must have very good knowledge in all foundry processes and experience in Green and Furan moulding methods,
Key Responsibilities :
- Reducing rejection by 50% from the existing level
- Daily review of all new product and regular parts rejection and updating the trend.
- Systematically taking defect mapping, analyzing the root cause with 4M conditions through 7QC tools and techniques.
- Conducting daily, weekly and monthly rejection reviews meeting and circulating minutes to all concern.
- Responsible for implementing corrective actions for foundry related defects in daily production by proactive approach.
- Sand and other parameters trend monitoring and correlating with rejections trend. Operating the production with past lowest rejection conditions.
- Applying DMAIC approach to reduce rejections drastically in chronical problems, and for process optimization
- Effective participation in all trials, improvement taken place.
- Cascading all the corrective actions taken in each and every parts to shop floor personnel.
- Audit of process parameters during production against requirements and correlating with rejections
- Coordinating with relevant department for proper updation of documents related to rejection reduction
- Leading rejection reduction projects with relevant department
- Developing QCC teams for similar rejection reduction projects and problem solving
- Stopping the production if deviations from requirements noticed.
- Implementing best foundry practices and training the team to sustain it.

Well verse in data collection and analysis.Knowledge and application of Six sigma methodology in process optimisation, defect elimination .Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, Ppt, etc.,) minitab and statistical software.Analytical ability to analyse with data, trend capturing.Familiarity with gating methods and process parameters to correlate with rejections.Foundry Defects and Remedies knowledge and application.Very good communication and cross functional collaboration skills.Direct Reportees : Managers, Sr Engineer, Engineers and Supervisors.
