SquareX is a pioneer in Browser Detection and Response (BDR) — a next-generation approach to cybersecurity that protects users directly within the browser.

We are seeking an AI Engineer (Security) with 1–3 years of experience in developing and deploying AI-driven systems. The ideal candidate blends strong programming fundamentals with hands-on experience in machine learning and LLM-based tools, using AI to detect, analyze, and respond to emerging threats.

Responsibilities

Design and implement AI models for threat detection and anomaly analysis.
Develop intelligent automation pipelines to streamline data processing and security operations.
Leverage LLMs for contextual threat insights, automated log analysis, and data correlation.
Collaborate with engineers to integrate AI models into production systems.
Write efficient, maintainable Python code and interface with Rust-based services when required.
Research and prototype new AI methods applicable to cybersecurity.

Qualifications

1–3 years of professional experience in AI, data science, or applied machine learning .

Proficiency in Python and experience with PyTorch , TensorFlow , or scikit-learn .

Familiarity with LLMs (Claude, GPT, or open-source models) and prompt engineering concepts.

Experience using n8n or similar workflow automation tools.

Working knowledge of Rust or interest in Rust-integrated systems.

Exposure to security data such as logs, alerts, or telemetry is a plus.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Requirements

Working in an onsite / hybrid setting

1–3 years of software development or AI / ML experience

Experience in working with cybersecurity tools like Burp Suite would be an advantage
