Job description

We are seeking an experienced AI Governance Specialist to lead and support the development, implementation, and oversight of governance frameworks for Responsible AI across the organization.

This role will ensure that AI and Machine Learning (ML) systems are ethical, transparent, secure, compliant, and aligned with both business objectives and global regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

AI Policy & Framework Development :

  • Develop and implement AI governance policies, risk management frameworks, and standards.
  • Align governance practices with international regulations (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO / IEC 42001).
  • Partner with legal, compliance, product, and data science teams to ensure adherence to ethical and regulatory requirements.

Risk Assessment & Compliance :

  • Conduct AI risk and impact assessments across the model lifecycle.
  • Monitor compliance with AI regulations, data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR), and industry standards.
  • Identify, escalate, and mitigate potential ethical, legal, or reputational risks.

    • Ethical AI & Responsible Innovation :

  • Drive initiatives promoting fairness, transparency, accountability, explainability, and human oversight

    • in AI / ML systems.

  • Support bias detection, algorithmic accountability, and model Operations & Tooling :
  • Embed governance controls into AI / ML pipelines and MLOps practices.
  • Evaluate or develop governance tools for documentation (model cards, datasheets), explainability, and audit trails.

    • Stakeholder Engagement & Training :

  • Act as a subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on responsible AI practices for technical and business Bachelors or Masters degree in Law, Computer Science, Data Science, Ethics, Public Policy, or related

    • field.

  • Certifications in AI Ethics, Data Protection, or Risk Management are a 9-12 years of experience in AI / ML, risk management, regulatory compliance, or corporate governance.
  • Exposure to responsible AI frameworks, audit processes, and regulatory readiness.
  • Experience working in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, energy, insurance) Strong knowledge of AI / ML technologies and their societal / organizational impact.
  • Familiarity with global AI standards (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO / IEC 42001).
  • Understanding of cybersecurity, data governance, and digital ethics.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
