Senior Network Administrator

Role Summary :

The Senior Network Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, management, and optimization of the organization's network infrastructure. This role ensures high availability, security, and performance across firewalls, routing and switching platforms, load balancers, WAN optimization devices, and wireless networks.

Key Responsibilities :

Network Administration & Support

o  Manage, configure, and optimize routers, switches, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, etc.).

o  Maintain secure and efficient firewall policies with Strong knowledge of Palo Alto .

o  Administer F5 Load Balancers (LTM, GTM) including VIP configurations, SSL offloading, iRules, and traffic distribution policies.

o  Monitor and maintain Riverbed WAN optimization solutions to enhance application performance across distributed environments.

o  Oversee enterprise wireless networks (Extreme, Aruba, or equivalent) ensuring coverage, security, and performance.

Security & Compliance

o  Implement and enforce network security policies and procedures.

o  Perform periodic audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance.

o  Support incident response and troubleshooting for network security events.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting

o  Utilize monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, etc.) to ensure network health and availability.

o  Troubleshoot complex network issues across LAN, WAN, WLAN, and Data Center environments.

o  Provide escalation support for critical network outages.

Documentation & Projects

o  Maintain detailed documentation of network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.

o  Lead and support network infrastructure upgrade and migration projects.

o  Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams for cloud, security, and application integration.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

o  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

o  5–8+ years of progressive experience in network administration / engineering .

o  Hands-on expertise in :

o  Firewall technologies (Palo Alto).

o  Routing & Switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VLANs, QoS).

o  F5 Load Balancers (LTM, GTM, ASM).

o  Riverbed WAN optimization.

o  Wireless networking (Extreme, Aruba, or equivalent).

o  Strong knowledge of TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, MPLS, and network segmentation.

o  Familiarity with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible) is a plus.

o  Relevant certifications preferred (CCNP / CCIE, F5-CA / CTS, NSE, CWNP, Riverbed RCSA / RCSP).
