We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who has good experience in the configuration and integration of Guidewire PolicyCenter to join our team. In this role, you will work with Guidewire developers in all stages of the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Following are the day-to-day work activities:

• Serve as Senior Engineer contributing to and directing the efforts of development teams, including internal and external team members
• Design and implement rating logic using Guidewire Rating Engine, Product Model and APD.
• Develop and maintain rate books, modifiers, and pricing algorithms in PolicyCenter.
• Collaborate with business analysts and actuaries to translate rating requirements into technical solutions.
• Perform unit testing and support QA teams during system and integration testing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to rating discrepancies or performance.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Ensure compliance with coding standards, security practices, and documentation requirements.
• Support production deployments and post-release validation of rating changes.
• Remain current on new technologies, evaluate, and make recommendations as necessary.
• Assist in task planning, estimation, scheduling
• Mentor Software Engineers and help them enhance their skill/knowledge development through advice, coaching, and training opportunities

Requirements

The must have requirements are:

• 4+ years of experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter, specifically in Rating and Product Model.
• Proficiency in GOSU programming and familiarity with Java.
• Strong understanding of insurance rating principles and actuarial collaboration.
• Experience with Guidewire Studio and configuration best practices.
• Experience Agile/Scrum Project Experience
• Good conceptual, analytical, mathematical skills

Good To Have

Candidates with these extra skills on their resumes have an added advantage while getting their profile assessed. Some of them are as follows:

• Guidewire certification in PolicyCenter Configuration or Rating.
• Experience with Guidewire Cloud or Digital Portals.
• Knowledge of P&C insurance products and regulatory compliance
• Experience working in Agile preferred
